New Mexico Ski Resorts & Snow
Play Areas
New Mexico may have a lot of
desert, but it has great snow play areas, too. If you love to
ski, snowboard or just play in the snow, come to New Mexico.
Start by checking out the links below, and plan a great winter
vacation here. But hurry, we don't have a very long winter season,
just a good one.

A premier, year-round family vacation destination. It is located
in the heart of northern New Mexico in the Sangre de Cristo mountain
range. Angelfire, NM (505) 633-7463 or (800) 377-6401

a few miles past Triple M's Snowplay area, on the same side of
the road. It's got fun hills, clean porta potties and parking.

area offering trails groomed for both classic and freestyle skiing.
The facility, located 3 miles east of Red River on the Carson
National Forest, offers the best of all worlds - stunning mountain
vistas and meandering forest trails which give a back country
feel in a groomed, patrolled area. The trail system is groomed
with one side tracked for classic a.k.a. diagonal stride skiing
and the other left smoothed for snowshoeing and freestyle a.k.a.
skate skiing. (If you are not familiar with skating, imagine
roller blading on snow - except you have control and stoppability
on hills.) Red River, NM (505) 754-2374 or 1-800-966-9381

pangs away. The mountain is fully patrolled when open and in
summer there are several biking and hiking days when the lifts
operate to take people to the top so they can walk or ride down.
The ski area is host to several festivals with music and family
fun each year. Join us year round! Los Alamos, NM (505) 662-5725
