Project Director

As the former President/CEO of
the Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce, her greatest accomplishments
while working for the chamber include hosting President Bush's
visit to Las Cruces in 2002 and establishing a signature training
program for the chamber, highlighted by training events which
featured Dr. Stephen Covey and the Disney Institute.
While serving as President/CEO,
Dora successfully completed the first year of the U.S. Chamber
of Commerce Association Certification program. Dora remains an
active member of the Las Cruces Convention Center Steering Committee
and a board member for Jardin de los Niños. Prior to working
with the chamber, Dora administered private sector fund raising
efforts for the Mesilla Valley Economic Development Alliance
(MVEDA). As REDTT program director, she plans to strengthen the
accountability for funding and to reinforce the tie between grant
money and the development of new tourism in the REDTT counties.
Her background in chamber management will work to compliment
REDTT's active involvement with its partner counties respective
Chambers of Commerce.
Dora earned a Bachelor's Degree
in Communication: Journalism and Political Science, from Eastern
New Mexico University in 1989 and a Master's Degree in Organizational
Management from the University of Phoenix in Albuquerque in 1997.
