SUBJECT: Defensive Driving Course 

For the convenience of faculty, students, and staff the Safety Office is rescheduling the Defensive Driving Courses during regular work hours. The new place, dates, and times are as follows: 

March 17 & 20, 1998 T&FRI 2:30 PM - 5:30 PM DABCC, Room 96 
April 21 & 23, 1998 T&TH 2:30 PM - 5:30 PM DABCC, Room 96 
May 26 & 28, 1998 T&TH 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM DABCC, Room 96
June 23 & 25, 1998 T&TH 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM DABCC, Room 96 
July 21 & 23, 1998 T&TH 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM DABCC, Room 96 

Registrants must attend the entire Defensive Driving Course in order to receive A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION AND/OR PERMANENT DRIVING PERMIT! 

A $20.00 class enrollment fee for individuals affiliated with NMSU and a $25.00 fee for individuals attending the class for personal reasons will be charged. Individuals requesting a temporary permit must register for a class at that time and must attend before the temporary permit expires (ONLY ONE TEMPORARY PERMIT WILL BE ISSUED). 

Departments will be billed for those registered individuals who fail to attend and neglect to cancel or reschedule with the Safety Office prior to the course. 

Please call at least two weeks in advance to ensure a reservation. Be prepared to give your full name, address, social security number, date of birth, a current/valid driver's license number, and a department account number. Prospective drivers of University vehicles will undergo a motor vehicle records check. Three moving violations or a DUI/DWI conviction within the past three years will require special NMSU review and may deny an individual a driving permit. 

No individual will be admitted fifteen minutes after class is in session! 

Individuals must bring a current driver's license and a pencil to class.
