The Safety Office now provides employees with centralized safety training
for
Some aspects of laboratory safety will be covered in the Hazard Communication training until we develop training specific to the Laboratory Standard. There are no charges for training. Seating is limited, so we ask that you register by calling 646-3327. Classes are conducted in Academic Research Building C, room 109 unless otherwise notified. Special sessions may also be scheduled for larger groups at other Department locations by contacting Katrina Doolittle. personnel working with human blood, blood components or other infectious
materials will be scheduled on request.

Call 646-3327 or come to the Safety Office, Academic Research C room 109 to preregister for Respirator Training. Employees required to wear a respirator must complete the Respirator Medical Evaluation Questionnaire prior to being fit tested. There is no charge for training or fit testing. Only when the physician determines that a follow up medical exam is required will the department be assessed minor medical fees. |
