MEMBERS PRESENT: Katrina Doolittle, Gregg Phillips, Michael Abernethy, and  Robert Rhodes.

 

The monthly meeting of the Safety Committee was called to order at 3:50 p.m. by Katrina Doolittle.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

Katrina Doolittle will contact Richard Long regarding the memo to include the Environmental Health and Safety Policy into the AP&P Manual.

 

Katrina discussed the different training and the training schedule that was initiated by the Safety Office.  She stated that the schedule had been sent out ABC & D distribution as well as hard copy and asked members present if they had received this.  She stated that the Dean of Engineering made laboratory training mandatory for individuals working in laboratories for engineering.

 

Discussed was the bloodborne pathogen training.  It was stated that any employee administering first aid should be required to have bloodborne training.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

None

 

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 4:25 P.M..  The next University Safety Committee meeting will be April 19, 2000.
