Subject: Defensive driving classes The National Safety Council Defensive Driving Classes (DDC) at NMSU for the next semester have been posted under Training on the University Safety Web (www.nmsu.edu/~safety). This class is one of the requirements for a permit to drive University vehicles. For the convenience of faculty, students, and staff, the Safety Office provides training monthly during regular work hours and at least one Saturday each semester. Course registrants must attend the entire (6 hour) DDC course in order to receive a certificate of completion and/or driving permit. Classes typically include 35-45 persons and are open to the public. To view the training schedule and related information, double click the below link or copy the address onto the URL line of your web browser. Registration
Those taking the class will need to provide their date of birth and current/valid driver's license information. NMSU employees must provide a valid department account number. Departments will be billed for registered individuals who fail to attend and neglect to cancel and reschedule with the Safety Office prior to the course. Please print and post the noted web page for departmental information. Thank you. David Shearer |
