University Defensive Driving Classes

The schedule for the University Defensive Driving Classes (DDC) for the 2003 Summer session have been posted on the

This class fulfills one of the requirements for a permit to drive University vehicles. For the convenience of faculty, students, and staff, the office of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) provides training monthly during regular work hours and at least one Saturday each semester. Course registrants must attend the entire course in order to receive a certificate of completion and/or driving permit. Classes typically include 35-45 persons and are open to the public. Classes often fill early, please register at least two weeks in advance to ensure a reservation. Employees and departments should register via the

Employees will need to provide a department account number. Please note that the department will be billed for registered individuals who fail to attend and neglect to cancel (or reschedule) with EH&S prior to the course.

Those taking the class for personal reasons should use the online form but they must provide payment before the class in order to reserve their registration. Additional details on driving permits, policy and maps to the classroom are provided via the above link.

Departments should print and post the noted class schedule for information.
