| From owner-nmsu-abcd@nmsu.edu Mon Jan 10 12:39:59 2005 From: dshearer, EH&S Subject: NMSU Defensive Driving Classes - Spring 2005 Ref: Defensive driving classes - Spring 2005 For departments with new employees that will be using a University vehicle, this is a short announcement that the 2005 Spring semester schedule for Defensive Driving Classes (DDC) has been posted on the web at EH&S Safety website - http://www.nmsu.edu/~safetyThe class is the National Safety Council Driving Course which fulfills one of the NMSU Policy requirements to drive a University vehicles (see vehicle use policy at http://www.nmsu.edu/~safety/policies/policy_vehicle_use.htm ). For the convenience of faculty, students, and staff, Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) provides this training monthly during regular work hours and at least one Saturday each semester. Course registrants must attend the entire course in order to receive a certificate of completion and/or driving permit. Classes typically include 35-45 persons and are open to the public. For costs, license verification requirements and class schedule, please refer to the EH&S safety website. Registration On-line registrationEmployees will need to provide a department account number. Please note that the department will be billed for registered individuals who fail to attend and neglect to cancel (or reschedule) with EH&S prior to the course. Those taking the class for personal reasons should use the online form but they must provide payment before the class in order to reserve their registration.
