Enrique (Henry) Saenz
Hazardous Materials Coordinator

Enrique is a hazardous materials coordinator for Environmental Health and Safety.

Enrique is an expert on asbestos management and air quality maintenance.  Currently, Enrique  is working on the detection and removal of asbestos in the older buildings around campus.  He is also on call for air quality problems, such as gas leaks, toxic mold, and other hazards.

        Enrique graduated from Gadsden High School in 1970.

2007 - present     NMSU Environmental Health & Safety; asbestos projects and regulated waste.

1995 - 2007        NMSU OFS, Safety & Training Office; asbestos projects.

1982 - 1995        NMSU, OFS, Custodial Services.

Interests & Background:  push pin

Enrique likes to watch movies, listen to music, draw, travel and site seeing.  His favorite movie is "Gladiator," and his favorites genres are Action and Sci-Fi.

In addition to working for NMSU, Enrique is also licensed to conduct inspections for lead, asbestos, and toxic mold for private companies and the public.

Current Projects: push pin

Enrique is currently working on assisting OFS with response to air quality issues.  He is also researching database software to document the locations and removals of asbestos on campus.
