Temporary NMSU Permit: NMSU employees can receive a temporary
driving permit until the next scheduled class (make that selection below &
provide mail stop code). The temporary permit may not be used to chauffeur other employees or students.
The temporary will be sent by campus mail within 5 working days of review of driving record.
(Note: In order to check driving history, we prefer not to provide temporary permits at
EH&S office ).
Driving history :
For NMSU employees & volunteers, we review driving records before a permit is issued (
NMSU policy ). EH&S can
check driving records for New Mexico and most states for an additional charge
for an additional fee depending on state) Options 1 & 2 (below) give EH&S permission
to check your driving history and charge for the cost. Alternately you can provide your driving history
from your state motor vehicle division (Option 3).
