EDUCATION
AND INCOME
What
you earn and the education that you have are directly related.
In New Mexico the salary difference between having a high school
diploma and dropping out of high school is about $10,000 a year.
An associate degree from a community college, for example DABCC,
will
increase your earning by another $10,000 a year. If you get
a university degree, for example, NMSU, your salary will increase
by another $15,000 a year.
If you become a university graduate you can earn about $25,000
more a year than if you dropped out of school.
Earning more money is but one reason to get a university degree.
Another is to learn and grow from gaining new knowledge.
