Student Services

The School of Social Work Student Services office is located in the College of Health & Social Services Building in Suite 210. Students who are interested in Social Work should schedule an advising appointment as soon as possible. For an advising appointment, call (575) 646-3529.

The School of Social Work Student Services Coordinator advises Pre-Social Work and Bachelor of Social Work students. She also provides guidance to Master of Social Work applicants to facilitate the MSW application process.

Pre-Social Work students (new freshman or transfer students) who are interested in pursuing the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) are admitted to NMSU and the College of Health & Social Services as pre-majors (PSWK). Students may apply to NMSU via the WEB but the application has to be signed at Admissions before students can register at NMSU.
