Eligibility Requirements

We will help you determine your eligibility for the GED test if you have any questions. Please call us at (575) 646-1921.

You will need:
  • A valid, government issued picture ID in good condition (e.g., driver’s license, state-issued ID, passport, etc.). We must be able to identify you from your picture.
  • A second valid ID in good condition, which verifies two of the following: your name, your signature, date of birth, social security number, address.
  • A properly signed underage verification form if you are at least 16 years old but not yet 18 years.

Other Important Information:

  • You cannot be enrolled in high school.
  • Unless you have been home schooled, you cannot hold, or be eligible to hold, any accredited high school credential or any high school equivalency credential.
  • If you have taken any GED tests in another state since January 1, 2002: You must have a GED transcript sent directly from your previous GED test center to our test center. It must be received before you establish your eligibility.
