If you've got questions, we've got answers!
How do I withdraw from my classes?
Contact the Registrar's office at (505) 646-3411. Not attending classes does NOT cancel your registration. The date you officially cancel determines how much, if any, you must pay. See specific semester schedule of classes for dates and refund percentages.

How do I get a refund?
You are eligible for a refund only if you have a credit balance on your student account.
The Financial Aid Office must review refunds for Financial Aid recipients. If you cancel or receive a credit for some reason and you still owe for other charges, any credit will be used to reduce your account balance. To claim your student account refund once the credit balance is on your student account, please bring a picture ID to University Accounts Receivable in Educational Services Center and a refund can be processed. If the credit is a result of an overpayment on your account made by check, you must wait two weeks after making the payment to receive a refund. You can also request a check to be mailed to you by calling University Accounts Receivable at (505) 646-4911, or email us at UAR@nmsu.edu. For other refunds, contact the department involved for instructions.
