Direct Deposit

Direct Deposit is the standard method of issuing student account refunds to NMSU students with credit balances. Students are strongly encouraged to sign up for Direct Deposit well in advance of any anticipated student account refunds, and may do so online via the "Financial Aid" tab of the myNMSU Portal.

Direct Deposit means you will receive your refund faster, with the refund being electronically credited to your checking account, instead of waiting for a refund check. It also eliminates the hassle of having to take your check to the bank to be cashed or deposited. This convenience is being provided at NO COST to you.
