Honor someone with a theater seat

Alumni and friends of New Mexico State University can show their support for the new Center for the Arts and honor someone who has made a difference in their life by sponsoring a theater seat.

About 200 seats are still available in the Medoff Theatre, the performance space inside the Center for the Arts. The theatre is named for Mark and Stephanie Medoff. The Medoffs have generously donated nearly half a million dollars to NMSU to establish endowments for student scholarships and support other programs across campus, including a recent gift of land to support construction of the Center for the Arts.

Every sponsored seat will include an engraved plaque. Sponsored seats range from $500 to $5,000, depending on the location in the Mark and Stephanie Medoff Theatre.

“Sponsoring a seat is just one of a number of naming opportunities in the Center for the Arts,” said Christa Slaton, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. “Naming a theater seat is a great way to honor someone you care about, but also to support the arts at New Mexico State University.”

Seat sponsors will still need to purchase tickets for performances at the theater. Seat name recognition does not guarantee a particular seat for performances
