House
Former New Mexico State University defensive back Davon House 11 was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the fourth round as the 131st pick overall in the 2011 NFL Draft. House, a native of Palmdale, Calif., became the first Aggie football player to be drafted since 2003, when the Oakland Raiders drafted Siddeeq Shabazz with the final pick of the draft. House also became the highest draft pick for the Aggies since 1989, when the San Diego Chargers selected Joe Campbell in the fourth round as well.
House, who completed his degree this summer in family and consumer sciences, is the 60th player in school history to be drafted to the NFL. He left NMSU as a two-time, first team All-WAC selection. He ended his career with the Aggies ranked sixth all-time in interceptions with 11, and first in interception return yardage with 319. He returned three interceptions for a touchdown in his career, tallied 198 tackles, 46 pass break ups and three fumble recoveries. In 2010, House led the team with two interceptions, 57 tackles and 10 pass break ups.
