The New Mexico State University Alumni Association is seeking nominations for the 2006 Distinguished Alumni and James F. Cole Memorial Award for Service.

The Distinguished Alumni award recognizes individuals who have distinguished themselves and thus brought honor and distinction to their alma mater. Nominees must have attended NMSU. The nominees will be judged according to their contributions to society, and/or in a profession, after attending NMSU. While not mandatory, contributions to the advancement of NMSU and service to the NMSU Alumni Association will be considered.

Selection for the Cole Award is based on support to NMSU (non-monetary), involvement with NMSU, civic/humanitarian service and professional service. The recipient must have attended NMSU or be an active member of the Alumni Association.

The deadline to submit nominations is Aug. 1. The awards will be presented at Homecoming in October. Nominations can be submitted online at http://alum.nmsu.edu/nomination.php.
