The Business and Information Systems division is honoring Hilda Olivia Perez. Perez is a business office technology administrative assistant major from Mesquite, N.M., and carries a grade point average of 4.0. She is a Phi Theta Kappa member who mentors students and volunteers with her church and community center.
The Technical Studies division is honoring Joel Carrillo. Carrillo is a drafting and graphics technology major from Las Cruces and carries a GPA of 3.0. He is the president of the branch’s student chapter of the American Design Drafting Association and a volunteer soccer coach at Las Cruces High School.
The Health and Public Services division is honoring Eulalia Padilla. Padilla is a youth and adolescent paraprofessional major from Las Cruces and has a GPA of 3.697. She serves as a senator for the Dona Ana Branch Community College Associated Students, is a volunteer at Jornada Elementary School and president of the Cherishing Children Club.
The White Sands Education Center is honoring Carlton Young. Young, who will receive an undesignated associate’s degree, is from Grand Bay, Ala., and carries a GPA of 3.833. He has supervised the watch station for the El Paso Intelligence Center and serves on the Morale, Recreation and Welfare Board.
