Two awards, one for $1,500 and one for $750, will be presented to students who have contributed to enhancing the university’s quality of life over the past year.
The awards were established by George and Bernice Roberts, of Las Cruces, in memory of their sons, Stephen W. and Robert E. Roberts, who were killed in a car wreck in 1978. Stephen graduated from NMSU in 1974 and Robert was an NMSU student at the time of his death.
Applicants must be enrolled for at least six credit hours this semester, must be pursuing a degree on NMSU’s main campus and plan to enroll at NMSU for the entire 2001-2002 academic year.
A resume, three letters of recommendation and a one-page typewritten statement documenting the candidate’s contributions to the quality of life at NMSU must accompany the application.
Applications are available in the Student Affairs Office, all dean’s offices, residence halls and the offices of all ethnic programs on campus.
