From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., ticket holders will be able to take part in self-guided tours of local artists’ studios. Participating artists include Jean Abbott, Janice Cook, Jeanne Rundell, Georjeanna Feltha, Sherry Doil Carter, Chris Fields, Sherri and Aaron Gara and Tom Gerend. Maps will be provided.
An exhibit reception for western artist Walter Piehl will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum, 4100 Dripping Springs Rd. Piehl’s paintings also will be showcased at this event.
The day will conclude with a formal reception at the University Art Gallery from 6 to 9 p.m. The reception will include food, wine, art and music provided by Allan Kaplan’s “Creole Jazz Trio.” The art gallery is located in Williams Hall near the intersection of Solano Drive and University Avenue.
“Come to Your Summer Senses” coincides with the Summer Regional Invitational art exhibit on display through July 31 at the art gallery.
Money raised from the fund-raiser will be used to support exhibitions and educational programming at the gallery. Tickets can be purchased at the gallery and are $20 for the studio tours, $25 for both receptions or $40 for all of the day’s events.
