“She received the award because of her persistence in growing the village and her dedication to high-quality education for young children and their families,” said Nancy Baptiste, director of the village and coordinator of the early childhood program at NMSU.
Conn said the award honors the passion she has as an advocate of early
childhood education.
Conn received the award from the Children’s Village in April as part
of the village’s Family Interaction Day. Families of children who attend
the village were invited to join in a day full of various activities with
their children.
