New Mexico State University has appointed Robert C. McNiel as interim chief of staff. As chief of staff, McNiel serves as a liaison between NMSU President Barbara Couture, the board of regents and the communities with which they work. Every little bit makes a difference for endowed scholarship

Almost 25 years ago, a group of dedicated employees formed a committee to establish an endowment with the New Mexico State University Foundation for the purpose of funding scholarships for the children and grandchildren of classified employees. As a result of the continued giving of many across the university, that endowment fund has continued to grow and this academic year was able to award 10 $500 scholarships to qualified students. read more...

NMSU-A Science Center addition earns Gold LEED Certification

NMSU Alamogordo has received official notification that their new Allied Health Addition to the Reidlinger Science Center has earned Gold LEED Certification. This high level of certification was awarded to the new structure based on the LEED point system, which provides a framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable "green" building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions. read more...
