As the fifth topic in our exploration of the Seven Steps to Success in my bi-weekly letters to NMSU faculty and staff, I would like to explore how we'll look for opportunities to substantially increase our university endowment and alumni giving. Forty years ago, a gallon of gas cost 35 cents, Richard Nixon was in the White House and Professor Clarence Fielder started teaching at New Mexico State University.
