Charge to the Committee The President's Commission on the Status of Women shall advocate for a campus community that is inclusive, diverse, and equitable. The Commission will facilitate the exchange of knowledge about the status of women faculty and staff at NMSU; will provide a focus for action on women's issues; and will promote an equitable work and learning environment. The President's Commission on the Status of Women will:   Gather data on the status of women faculty and staff at NMSU. Review institutional documents (e.g., NMSU Policy Manual) to determine the gendered impact of institutional policies and procedures. Monitor data, policies and procedures, and campus issues at NMSU in light of local and national trends impacting the status of women at NMSU. Recommend appropriate courses of action on policies and procedures to promote gender equity in the recruitment and retention of women faculty and staff at NMSU. Report its findings to the NMSU Board of Regents every three years.
