#30 Montgomery GI Bill
- CAT IA - First entered active duty after 6/30/85 for less than three years. Paid in $1,200, HONORABLE discharge, has high school diploma or equivalent. No reserve time.
- CAT IB - First entered active duty after 6/30/85 for three years or longer. Paid in $1,200, HONORABLE discharge, has high school diploma or equivalent.
- CAT IC - First entered active duty after 6/30/85, served at least two years of continuous HONORABLE active duty service, contracts for at least four years in Selected Reserve (within 1 year from active duty discharge date), paid in $1,200, HONORABLE discharge, has high school diploma or equivalent.
- CAT I - First entered active duty after 6/30/85, has already served at least two continuous years of HONORABLE active duty service, is still on Active duty, paid in $1,200, has high school diploma or equivalent.
- CAT IIA - OLD GI BILL CROSSOVER INTO MONTGOMERY GI BILL - Signed up for active duty by 12/31/76, had no break in service from 10/19/84 through 6/30/88 OR was not on active duty on 10/19/84 due to broken service, but had active duty service sometime during the period 10/19/84 and 6/30/85 AND continued on active duty without a break for the period required to establish MGIB entitlement, HONORABLE discharge, has high school diploma or equivalent.
- CAT IIB - OLD GI BILL CROSSOVER INTO MONTGOMERY GI BILL - Signed up for active duty by 12/31/76, had no break in service from 10/19/84 through 6/30/85 OR was not on active duty on 10/19/84 due to broken service, but had active duty service sometime during the period 10/19/84 and 6/30/85 AND served on active duty for at least two continuous years from 7/1/85 through at least 6/30/87, contracts for at least four years in Selected Reserve (within one year from active duty discharge date), HONORABLE discharge, has high school diploma or equivalent.
- CAT II - OLD GI BILL CROSSOVER INTO MONTGOMERY GI BILL - Signed up
for active duty by 12/31/76, had no break in service from 10/19/84
6/30/88 OR was not on active duty on 10/19/84 due to broken service,
but had active duty service sometime during the period 10/19/84 and
6/30/85 AND continued on active duty without a break for the period
required to establish MGIB entitlement, is still on active duty, has
high school diploma or equivalent.
