Information on Veterans Non-Resident Tuition Waiver

Effecive July 1, 2009, qualified veterans (who do not live in New Mexico) can receive instate tuition as directed by SB136.

If a veteran is qualified under SB136, they need to:

• Initiate and submit the Veterans Non-Resident Tuition Waiver to one of NMSU's Las Cruces VA Certifying Officials.
• One of the NMSU's Las Cruces VA Certifying Officials will sign to verify that the veteran is an applicant for benefits as outlined in SB 136. It will then be forwarded to the Registrar's Office.
