Alcohol Facts

  • Binge drinking (In one session, 4 or more drinks for a women, 5 or more for a man) is associated with lower grades.
  • 159,000 first-year college students will drop out of school for alcohol or other drug related reasons.
  • Alcohol is the #1 drug used to facilitate date rape.
  • Alcohol is a factor in 40% of violent crimes.

 

Sexual Assault Facts

    • College age women are 4 times more likely to be sexually assaulted
    • 60% of sexual assaults are not reported to the police
    • Approximately 73% of rape victims know their assailants
    • Victims of assault are 13 times more likely to abuse alcohol and 3 times more likely to suffer from depression.
