Campus Event Guidelines for Student Organizations

TO:  Aggie Student Organization Student Leaders & Faculty Staff Advisors:

As you know, information from the federal, state, and health agencies is coming in at a face pace.  We are trying to keep up with directives from numerous agencies and make the best decisions possible for our students and student organizations.  As of today please note that the following guidelines and restrictions are in place until further notice:


  • Be advised that the Activities Center, dining and other special-use facilities are limiting the number of patrons utilizing the space.

  • Meetings and social gatherings should be limited to 10 or less per CDC guidance through March 31.
    Until further notice, student gatherings on campus will be limited to less than 10 participants. Non-NMSU students (community members) will NOT be allowed to join in-person meetings on campus, nor should any participants who have traveled from other states or countries (via commercial carriers).

  • Corbett Center event staff are working to ensure that any meeting rooms scheduled take into considerations appropriate social distancing methods.  Meeting rooms scheduled on campus after March 30 will remain on the calendar BUT note they may be changed or cancelled due to size and social distancing requirements.

  • Off campus participation  as a student organization at volunteer locations in the community are discouraged. However, if you feel you need to volunteer and choose to do so, please follow specific strategies can be found at this CDC link.

  • More information about future (after March 30th) campus community meetings, activities, or events will be provided in the next two weeks.
