Aggie Welcome & Orientation Update

Update 3/24/2020

Undergraduate Admissions and Orientationwant to assure you that preserving the health and safety of NMSU students, faculty, staff, and visitors continues to be our highest priority as we work through the world-wide COVID-19 outbreak.

All of us at NMSU understand the uncertainty this unprecedented situation is causing everyone, especially students and families, navigating the decisions associated with going to college. While NMSU remains open to provide essential services to current students, we are limiting in-person activities with visitors and the public.

Face-to-face summer orientation programs are still scheduled to take place. We also have contingency plans in place should the need arise to change how these programs are conducted. You can rest assured that we are prepared to make sure you will receive academic advising, get registered for classes, and have access to all the information and resources necessary to start your first semester as a part of the Aggie family in August.

The Undergraduate Admissions and Orientation team will keep you updated in the coming days and weeks with any adjustments we may have to make. Still, as of today, there is no reason to consider postponing or canceling your orientation reservation.

For questions, contact the Aggie Welcome and Orientation office at 575-646-8038 or

Thank you for your understanding as we prioritize the well-being of the campus community and our visitors.
