We’re removing barriers to graduate education, which is why we don’t require the GRE.

The Master's degree is designed to increase one's knowledge and understanding of mathematics beyond the Bachelor's degree level. It also prepares a student for future graduate work. A Master of Science in Mathematics at NMSU requires a minimum of 30 total credits, with at least 24 credits in mathematics or statistics courses. The program also requires the completion of both a master's written and a final oral examination.
